Emiliya Sultan (b.1986, in Bashkortostan) is Paris based photographer, artist-researcher, and art historian.

She attended art history courses at the École du Louvre. She is student in Academy of Documentary and Art Photography Fotografika and she takes the class of Contemporary Photography Experiments  at the School of Modern Photography Docdocdoc. 

Emiliya works in commercial photography and on personal projects. A graduate philologist, she works with various forms of texts and explores the past through archives, employing collage and mixed media techniques. 

Her artistic practice explores themes such as the emigration experience, autobiographical memory, melancholy, cultural and national identity.
